The Following are Standing Dates/Deadlines that you can count on every year:

December 1 and May 1
Application to Teacher Education Program; should be done 2 semesters prior to student teaching. You must be officially accepted into the Teacher Education Program before you take methods courses.
December 1 Graduation applications for May graduates (including those who are "walking")
March 1 Student Teacher Approval Form due for ALL Fall and Spring student teachers
April 1 Portfolios due for ALL Fall and Spring student teachers
Summer Graduation application for December graduates

September 16, 2014  (Tuesday)- 6:30-8:30 p.m. Green Dot Training,    Location: Butler Hall
Bully Prevention Training is required for all University of Dubuque Education Majors and open to Education majors from Clarke, Emmaus, and Loras colleges.

September 20, 2014  (Saturday)- 8:00 a.m. - Noon Teacher Education admission CAAP Test $50 fee.  Registration required with Susie Scott in Smith 307, ext. 3232      Location: TBD

Late Spring 2015 - The Visual Phonics Workshop
Dave Krupke will be here to run the workshop from 8:30-5:00 on Thursday, and 8:30-12:30 on Friday. Those 12 hours of training are required to receive a Certificate. Students shouldn't include Visual Phonics on their resumes unless they have received the training Certificate. This workshop is appropriate for Elementary Majors.  Location TBA (probably G209) REGISTRATION REQUIRED contact Dr. Abele at mabele@dbq.edu
