  • Integrated Curriculum: Pharmacology, medical, nursing, and patient self-management are integrated with disease processes learning experiences.
  • Faculty to Student Ratio in Clinical: Students have additional faculty support, with a 1: 4-5 faculty to student ratio, rather than a 1:8 faculty to student ratio.

  • Simulated Emergency Scenario Practice: Students are prepared to respond to actual patient emergencies before they actually encounter an emergency in their practice.
  • Informatics - Information Use at the Point of Care to Support Decision-Making Integrated Into Every Course: Students use electronic hand-held technology throughout the program to ensure the use of evidence-based information to support their clinical decision-making.
  • Student Centered, Small-Personalized Experience
  • Preparation for Care of the Aging Client: Students are prepared to care for the aging client.
  • Rural Health Experience: Students experience the differences between rural and urban health care.
