Potterveld Apartments - 1967

These apartments for married students were made possible through the generosity of the University's friendly neighborhood druggist, Fred Potterveld, who, with his sister, Winnie, was well known to generations of University of Dubuque students in the first half of the twentieth century.greed to have the family name applied to Donnell Hall. Douglas Donnell and David Cassat were longtime close friends, so the proximity of the buildings is appropriate. Both are residence halls. Mr. and Mrs. Donnell's daughter, Jean Parker, serves on the University of Dubuque Board.
