Severance Hall - 1912

This Building was made possible through major funding by Louis H. Severance, an industrialist Presbyterian from Cleveland, Ohio. It served variously as a men's residence hall, a women's residence hall, and faculty apartments.

In 1988 through the generous gift of C.O. Daniel, a banker from Elizabeth, Illinois, it was totally renovated. it now houses the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary and is called "The C.O. Daniel Theological Center." The President's office is also located here. Mr. McDaniel was moved to this benevolent act by appreciation for the series of UDTS student-pastors who served his Presbyterian church throughout his lifetime.
