UD Campus Tour

Overview
The architectural integrity of the University of Dubuque campus is due in large part to two people.

Board member Edwin B. Lindsay of Davenport, Iowa (1926-1956) and chair (1931-1949) urged the maintenance of the collegiate Gothic tone in design and construction during his years of service.

Board member Wayne A. Norman (1970-2001) saw to it that Blades Hall and the Steffens Arcade preserved key features and components of Steffens Hall; that Alumni Hall was attractively restored; that the Stoltz Sports Center architecture was faithful to the lines of McCormick Gymnasium; and that the Babka Bookstore blended harmoniously with Peters Commons. As chair of the Facilities Committee for years, he was influential in all phases of building and renovation.
