Laser Grade Testing

The University of Dubuque Testing Center provides the electronic delivery of all FAA pilot certification exams.  The Testing Center is located at the Dubuque Regional Airport, University of Dubuque Flight Operations facility.

The current testing fee for all FAA exams is $150.  To schedule your exam, please call the Aviation Business Office at 563-589-3180 or email kbruggen@dbq.edu.

Beginning March 1, 2010

During an Industry meeting in September 2009, the Federal Aviation Administration informed the aviation community that the Airman Knowledge Testing (AKT) Program will establish and enforce strict new standards.  Due to the stringent requirements identified in the new Order, the testing fee for all FAA exams will change on March 1, 2010.  University of Dubuque students will be charged $135 for all FAA exams.  For non-University students the testing fee will be $150.

UD Students

The Testing Center is open to University students by appointment Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. excluding federal and University holidays.

Public Testing

Public exams must be scheduled through LaserGrade Central by calling 800-211-2753.  More information on LaserGrade can be found on their website www.lasergrade.com
