How To Apply
Application Process for Financial Aid
  1. Obtain a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for use throughout the federal process from the U. S. Department of Education's PIN Web site at www.pin.ed.gov If you already have a PIN, skip this step.
  2. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on or as soon as possible after January 1, 2008. You may file the FAFSA on-line using FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov using your PIN. Our federal code is 001891. If you are a returning student, complete the Renewal FAFSA on-line.
  3. Promptly submit any additional information or documents requested by the Office of Student Financial Planning (usually if you were selected for a process called verification).
  4. Watch for Email announcements for your on-line Financial Aid Award Notification beginning the first week in March. Your UD assigned email will be used.
  5. Follow the on-line instructions for completion of the on-line awarding process. You will be able to accept, decline and adjust awards, apply for your loans and choose alternative payment methods.
