University of Dubuque Heritage Center Seeks Volunteer Ushers

Heritage Center, the University of Dubuque’s performing arts, worship, and campus center, will host two volunteer usher orientation and training sessions on Tuesday, August 18 and Thursday, August 20, 2015 – both at 6:00 p.m. in John and Alice Butler Hall.

UD Fishing Club Finishes Top 10 at Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship

Formed in 2011, the University of Dubuque Fishing Club has steadily been “releasing more line” in the world of college fishing. Recently, two members of the club, Austin Brimeyer (Senior beginning in the fall, Dubuque, IA) and Anthony Riesberg (Graduated May 2015, Dyersville, IA), competed in the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship.

UD Receives TRIO / Student Support Services Grant

The University of Dubuque has once again been selected to receive funding for the U.S. Department of Education TRIO / Student Support Services Program (SSS). This highly competitive grant will provide our University and students with $1.1 million in funding over the next five years. The SSS program provides academic and other support services to low-income, first-generation, and / or students with a disability.

University of Dubuque Selected to Participate in New Consortium on Digital Resources for Teaching and Research

The University of Dubuque has been chosen as one of a select group of 42 institutions nationwide – the only institution in Iowa – by the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) to participate in a Consortium on Digital Resources for Teaching and Research. The Consortium intends to improve teaching and learning, enhance faculty and student/faculty research, and streamline administrative capabilities through a uniform digital system of cataloging important research material collections.

UD Students to Benefit from 16% Increase in Iowa Tuition Grants

Iowa-native students at the University of Dubuque, as well as other Iowa private colleges, will get a significant boost this upcoming academic year in a key financial aid program, the Iowa Tuition Grant (ITG). The ITG maximum grant has been increased to $5,300, an increase of 16% over last year.
