    December 4, 2014 UD vs. Clarke Basketball Games to Benefit Women Caring for Women and Children

    On Thursday, December 4 the men’s basketball game between the University of Dubuque Spartans and the Clarke University Crusaders will benefit the Women Caring for Women and Children (WCWC) group and the Victim Services Shelter in Dubuque. All gate receipts will be donated to WCWC. As well, a 50/50 raffle will be held during the game and silent auction items will be available to benefit the organization. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. in Stoltz Sports Center on the University of Dubuque campus.

    Peter C. Brown, Author of Make it Stick to Speak at UD

    Peter C. Brown, lead author of Make it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning, will speak in Blades Hall on the University of Dubuque campus on Thursday, December 4. The lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be followed by a book signing. Brown’s lecture is sponsored by McGraw Hill Higher Education Group.

    Quiet Humanism in Recent Work by UD Watercolorist Jac Tilton

    The Charles and Elizabeth Bisignano Art Gallery in the University of Dubuque’s Heritage Center, announces a show of recent work by Jac Tilton. The show will be on display from Monday, November 17 through Friday, January 2, 2015. An an opening reception will be held on Friday, December 5 at 6:00 p.m., prior to the second annual Christmas at Heritage Center event.
