Other Approved Opportunities

The University of Dubuque has a co-operative agreement with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Institute for Study Abroad Programs. UW-Platteville offers excellent, good value study abroad opportunities in Australia, China, England, Fiji, Italy, Japan, and Spain.
Because of our co-op agreement, UD students will receive the in-state tuition discount, will receive UD transcripts, and will be able to use some of their UD financial aid package. Non-Approved Study Abroad Programs:

UD students are welcome to attend other study abroad programs.  The International Studies office is happy to assist in each student's search for the program best suited to his or her needs and interests.  To assure that any courses taken will indeed be accepted by the University of Dubuque, students are MUST obtain approval from their major advisor BEFORE attending any study abroad program.
 

Institutional aid (grants or scholarships from University funds) will not apply to other study abroad programs.   However, upon completion of the Application for Study Abroad Approval form (available from the International Studies Office), the Office of Financial Aid will assist the student in accessing any available financial aid. (This would include any Federal or State aid in the student's package.)
