Library Liaisons

Each academic department, as well as some non-academic departments/programs, have a professional librarian assigned to work with faculty, staff, and students in that area.

The role of the liaison librarian includes:

  • Ensuring a library collection that meets student and faculty academic & leisure needs
  • Helping students, faculty, and staff effectively access information

Your department’s liaison librarian can help you:

  • Plan effective research assignments
  • Teach students how to find information for particular assignments
  • Locate or request materials you or students need for classes, research, and leisure
  • Learn how to effectively use library materials and tools

Don’t have a liaison listed for your department or program? Request one by contacting Anne Marie Gruber.
