Medical Insurance
At the beginning of each year, UD Emergency & Medical Information Form must be submitted to the Medical Coordinator office. As a student, for your health and safety as well as those around you, it is your responsibility to report any medical conditions to the Medical Coordinator's office, if needed I will help you find appropriate medical care. The forms supply us with valuable information, but not limited to: medical needs, emergency notification contacts, and insurance information to arrange medical appointments. Often, students are covered under a policy held by their parents. If this is the case, students should sit down with their parents and go over the coverage with them. Questions to consider are:
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS are provided medical insurance through LewerMark. Phyllis Garfield, Director of International Studies, at UD International Student Office, will be able to provide the student with an informational handbook. Individuals are able to access pertinent medical and insurance information at the following sites: International Health Service and Health Insurance and LewerMark Health Insurance.
