The University of Dubuque Men's and Women's Lacrosse teams have been announced as the newest members of the College Conferences of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). The Spartans will be associate members of the league beginning in 2014-15.

The University of Dubuque has named Tyler Simmons as Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Simmons has been part of the Spartans football staff for three seasons and first as a graduate assistant. Simmons served as the linebackers coach in 2013 after being an assistant linebacker coach the previous two seasons.

The University of Dubuque men's lacrosse team opened their 2015 season against unbeaten Rockhurst University (2-0) and lost 4-17 to the hosts. A quartet of Spartans would finish the afternoon with a goal. Andrew Triantos, Joshua Cramer, Britton Harris, and Andrew Poncer all scored for UD. The Spartans finished with 12 shots in the loss.

The University of Dubuque men's lacrosse team opened their road conference season at Carthage College on Wednesday night and lost the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) match by a 3-16 score. The Spartans goals were from Andrew Triantos, Josh Berey-Wingate, and Tyson Svoboda.
