UD Forms Partnership with University of Iowa College of Law

President Jeffrey F. Bullock, today, announced the formation of a partnership between The University of Dubuque and the University of Iowa College of Law in Iowa City. The Iowa Law “3+3” Program would allow UD undergraduates in their junior year of study to apply for admission to Iowa Law’s Juris Doctor (JD) Program.

The University of Dubuque’s Heritage Center, in cooperation with TH Media, presents a special Live at Heritage Center summer music presentation on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. The Iowa Army National Guard’s 34th Army Band makes a special appearance with a patriotic concert in John and Alice Butler Hall. The performance will feature opening music by “The Patriots” Drum and Fife Ensemble followed by the full 36-piece Concert Band.

UD Welcomes Students and Families During Iowa Private College Week

From August 4-8, Iowa Private College Week (IPCW) – sponsored by the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (IAICU) – provides prospective students and their families a coordinated week-long opportunity to visit 26 non-profit, private college campuses. The annual event, offers campus tours and informational meetings specifically designed to assist students in evaluating their needs and goals for their higher education experience. The IPCW passport gives students eligibility for one of the 58 $500 bookstore vouchers being offered, and can be used at Casey’s General Stores for gasoline discount coupons for families making campus visits during the week.

The concert, titled A Life in Song, features works by Mozart, Whitacre, and others, including the premiere of a commissioned work by Clarke University senior Adam O’Dell, based on the Dylan Thomas poem, “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night”. University of Dubuque Achieving the Dream Campaign Surpasses Goal

UD Raises the Stakes for Iowa College All-State Honor Band

Heritage Center Waives Online Fees for the Holidays

University of Dubuque’s Farber Box Office in Heritage Center will waive all online fees on tickets purchased at their website beginning at 10:00 a.m. on December 22 through December 26 as a special Christmas week special. Tickets and gift certificates in any denomination can be purchased at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter. Additionally, Farber Box Office will be closed beginning December 20 and resume normal hours on January 5.

African Heritage Week 2015

The week-long cultural experience, sponsored by the University's Office of Multicultural Student Engagement, will showcase the history, experiences, and culture throughout the African diaspora. This year’s theme will focus on dissecting the concept of “whiteness” and its effect on blacks throughout the diaspora historically and presently. Week-night events are free and open to the public.

University of Dubuque Launches Online Master of Christian Leadership Degree

Mark Ward, vice president for academic affairs at the University of Dubuque, announced today that the University will launch its first entirely online master’s program, the Master of Arts in Christian Leadership, beginning fall semester, 2015.
