DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's lacrosse team played their first ever match in school history on Saturday at Oyen Field. Unfortunately for the Spartans they were out scored by the visiting Concordia University (WI) by a score of 16-6.
Concordia held the edge in shots 41-18, ground balls 23-12, and won 13-20 face-offs. The Spartans Judy Borah led the offense with three goals and an assist. Bridget Schirmers also finished with three goals.
Goal keeper Dionna Atwood made seven saves in the loss.
