Returning Student Housing Reservations

As returning students begin to plan their housing accommodations for 2012-2013, staff with the Office of Residence Life would like to offer you the following critical information.

Undergraduate students are reminded of the University residency requirement. As outlined on page 32 of the Student Handbook, all students with less than 90 credits at the start of the fall semester are required to reside on campus, space permitting. There is a process outlined for seeking exemptions to this policy. Please refer to the Handbook for a full review of the policy. Students should not make any binding agreements for off-campus accommodations without checking with the Office of Residence Life as such agreements will not form a basis for exemptions from on campus contracts.

Seminary students will be informed of their reservation process in late March, 2012.

The information listed below contains information on the housing reservation time table for next year. Please contact a member of the Residence Life staff with any questions. Additional information will be available beginning February 16, 2012.

Housing Reservations 2012-2013:  Dates to Remember

Thursday, February 16: Housing applications available in the Residence Life Office, Hall Offices, and online at http://www.dbq.edu/residencelife/housingreservs.cfm (Park Village, Campus Houses, and Donnell Hall)

Tuesday, February 28: Campus House applications due to Residence Life by 5:00 pm

Tuesday, March 6: Campus House Sign-Up in Residence Life. Students will be notified of their reservation time through UD email accounts

Friday, March 9: Park Village Applications Due to Residence Life by 5:00pm

Wednesday/Thursday, March 21-22: Park Village Sign-Up in the Underground- students will be notified of their reservation time through UD email accounts

Thursday, March 22: Donnell Sign-Up:  9 am to 4 pm, Underground

Wednesday, March 28: Final day for current students to reserve space on campus, space permitting; beyond this date, returning students will be placed on a housing waiting list.
