Mission
The University of Dubuque's Safety & Security Department's mission is to promote and maintain a safe and secure campus environment for the University's community of students, faculty, and staff. The following information pertains to current security related policies and procedures at the University of Dubuque. The Safety and Security Department at the University of Dubuque provides for the safety and security of students, staff, faculty, visitors, and university property 24-hours-a-day, 365 days a year. The Safety and Security Office is located in Smith Hall, Room 112 at 2205 Grace Street. Regular office hours are 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. If after hours are needed, call on the red phone located on the wall outside of the Security Office and the officer on duty will assist you.

Although not certified law enforcement officers, Security Officers do receive training on campus safety, basic first aid, and CPR and receive continual in-house training to upgrade and professionalize our skills. The Safety and Security Department is the law enforcement authority on the University of Dubuque campus.
