Office of Service and Leadership
Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.
~John Wesley

The Office of Service and Leadership facilitates students, faculty, alumni and staff involvement in service to the communities in which they live.  The office promotes the campus to be engaged in the community by identifying needs and working as a community to meet those needs.  Programs of the office include student organization based community service projects, service-learning courses, leadership training, and volunteer opportunities designed to help the entire campus become involved with the greater Dubuque Community.

Service Opportunities

At the University of Dubuque we work to engage in service learning projects shaped by analyses of need, talents, and time.  We work to build effective relationships within the community that match the resources of the University with the needs of the service agencies in Dubuque.  Some of our community service partners are:

  • Boys & Girls Club
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters
  • Dubuque Regional Humane Society
  • St Mark Community Center
  • Hills & Dales
  • Bethany Home
