Student Organizations

Participating in campus activities is an important part of college life at the University of Dubuque. The activities and events planned by the various clubs and organizations supplement your academic life with valuable experience, fun and friendship. Out-of-classroom programs provide opportunities for vocational growth, leadership training, community service and personal development. • Act Out Loud: Thespian Coalition ~ Provides support for academic fine performing arts productions, projects and events
• Gospel Choir ~ Promotes opportunities for learning and service through song and fellowship
• Pep Band ~ Provides music to encourage spirit at UD sporting and other events
• University Band ~ Shares the gift of instrumental music with the campus and community

• Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) ~ Serves as the voice of student athletes on campus

Multicultural Organizations:

• Black Student Union (BSU) ~ Minority based group that is open to everyone for academic and social support, mentoring, and programming
• International Friendship Club (IFC) ~ Facilitates friendship and mingling of international and non- international students

Religious and Spiritual Organizations:

• Campus Ministry ~ Sponsors many events on campus including weekly chapel services and Bible studies

• Spartan Spirit Team (SST) ~ Promotes and energizes UD spirit on campus

Sports Organizations:

• Cheer Squad ~ Encourage spirit and cheer on UD athletics throughout the year

Student Media Organizations:

• Articulate ~ Publishes the annual UD art and literary magazine
• The Belltower ~ Student newspaper that educates, entertains, and allows students to voice opinions and concerns
• The Key Yearbook ~ archives UD student history in the form of a traditional yearbook

• Homecoming Committee ~ Coordinates the vision and direction for Homecoming Week events
• Student Ambassadors ~ Students work with the Admissions Office to help promote UD to incoming and interested students
• First-Year Experience Mentors ~ Help to welcome and introduce new students to college and life at UD during New Student Orientation and the Summer Bridge Program
