Brad Johnson joined the University of Dubuque Spartans in 2004 as the Mens and Womens Assistant Soccer Coach. After helping guide both programs to new heights, he was named the Associate Head Mens Soccer Coach in 2008. Following an extremely successful 2008 season, Johnson was promoted to the position of Head Mens Soccer Coach.
Johnson currently holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) B License, NSCAA Goalkeeping License, and NSCAA Special Topic License. He is actively involved in the Dubuque Soccer Club and is currently the U-13 to U-18 Director of Coaching. As well, Johnson was previously the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Hempstead High School in Dubuque. He attended Loras College for four years, where he was a three-time captain, four-year All-Iowa Conference honoree, an All-Region selection, and garnered Iowa Conference MVP honors. He holds the records at Loras College for most points and goals scored in a career. Johnson received a masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Dubuque and his Bachelor Degree in Finance from Loras College. Jason Carlson joined the University of Dubuque Spartans in 2008 as the Mens Assistant Soccer Coach. Before coming to U.D. Jason was the Assistant Mens Soccer Coach at Trinity International University, in Gurnee, IL for two years.
While at T.I.U. Carlson helped guide the mens soccer program through two of its most successful seasons, he helped the Trojans capture: Two second place finishes in the Chicagoland Conference, Runners-up in the conference tournament, Semi-finalist in the NAIA regional tournament, and a #21 national ranking. Before T.I.U., Carlson served as the Assistant Mens Soccer Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for both mens and womens soccer programs at Hope International University in Fullerton, Ca. While coaching at H.I.U. Carlson helped lead the Royals to their first western region championship in over nine years and an appearance in the semi-finals of the NCCAA national tournament. He was also a member of the NCCAA Western Region Coaching Staff of the year. Carlson currently holds and USSF D license. He is also currently involved in the Dubuque Soccer Club and is the Head Womens Coach at Dubuque Senior High School. Previously, Carlson was a Director of Coaching for the Lincolnshire Lightening, in Lincolnshire, Ill. Carlson attended Victor Valley College (Victorville, Calif.) for two years, where he was an All Conference Honorable Mention, team Captain, and lead the Rams to their first Conference title in 31 years. Carlson later transferred to Hope International University where he was team captain, leading goal scorer, and an All-Region selection. Carlson received his undergraduate degree in General Studies, and is currently working on his Masters of Arts in Communication at the University of Dubuque. |
