The Department of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Dubuque offers a major and minor in Fine & Performing Arts with emphases in music, theatre, or dance. For more information about majoring in the Fine and Performing Arts, visit our academic page.
In addition to our academic programs, the department has a rich tradition of bands open to all students on campus. All UD students are invited and encouraged to explore the many opportunities available. Ensembles are open to all university students, regardless of major, and there are no auditions for any of the bands at UD. Academic credit is available for participation in performance ensembles.
Due to the uncertainty of the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2019-20 Department of Fine and Performing Arts events are cancelled.
