Golden Dragon Acrobats

The spellbinding artistry, amazing athletics, and cirque spectacular of the Golden Dragon Acrobats (GDA) thrills audiences of all ages and represents the best of a time-honored tradition that began more than 25 centuries ago. Combining award-winning acrobatics, traditional dance, breathtaking costumes, music, and theater, the 25-member troupe has traveled to all 50 states and more than 65 countries on five continents. Directed by founder Danny Chang, GDA has received two prestigious New York Drama Desk Award nominations for its Broadway run.

Dubuque County Library - Chinese New Year Celebration

Celebrate the Year of the Rat with crafts, activities, and traditional treats. Decorate your own Chinese lantern, make a fire-breathing dragon, and try Chinese New Year snacks like lotus seeds and tang yuan (sesame rice balls). This program is part of the Page to Stage collaboration between Dubuque County Library and University of Dubuque Heritage Center.  Open to all ages.

Participants will receive one free children’s admission to Golden Dragon Acrobats on February 29 at University of Dubuque Heritage Center.
