Missoula Children’s Theatre presents an original adaptation of the classic fairy tale Pinocchio, featuring a cast of local youth. Geppetto fashioned the puppet in the image of a small boy. Even as the lonely and kind woodcarver worked far into the night, Geppetto was not aware that the wood under the chisel had come from the trunk of an enchanted tree. But the Blue Fairy was aware, as she watched from afar and gave to that puppet the gift of life. Join Pinocchio on his adventures as he learns that there are no shortcuts on the road to becoming a real, live boy.

A special one-week intensive drama workshop for youth in grades K-12 will culminate in two fully staged and costumed musical performances for the public, showcasing the talents of over 50 local youth.

Auditions will occur Monday, January 20, 2020, at 4:15 p.m. in Heritage Center.  There is no fee to audition.  Auditions last 90-120 minutes.  For those cast in the show, a $50.00 per child participation fee will apply. Rehearsals begin January 20 and continue each day, all week, from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 to 8:45 p.m.
