UD's Women's Track and Field Named USTCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Scholar Team of the Year and All-Academic Team honors for the 2013-14 Division III Track & Field Season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The USTFCCCA announced the 2014 Division II All-Academic Track & Field teams. A total of 158 women’s teams and 93 men’s teams earned the distinction as a result of earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher.

The Spartan women's track and field team finished with a cumulative grade point average of 3.18 as a team in 2014. UD was one of seven IIAC schools to earn the Women's All-Academic Team Award and has won the award for past two seasons. Only a handful of schools have won the award for three consecutive seasons since the award was introduced in 2007. Principia flexed its academic muscle to take the No. 1 spots on both the men’s and women’s lists of top GPAs.
