Spartans Place 28 on Spring All-Academic IIAC Team

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque's six spring athletic programs placed a total of 28 student-athletes on the 2015 Spring Iowa Conference All-Academic team.
To be named an Iowa Conference All-Academic honoree the student athlete must be a Varsity athlete, have a 3.5 GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore, and have attended the member institution for at last one academic year.

Twenty-eight spring Spartans fit this criteria and produced the third-most honorees in the Iowa Conference for this spring. The complete breakdown was as follows: baseball (9), men's track & field (6), women's track & field (5), softball (5), men's golf (2), and men's tennis (1). Of UD's 28 selections, five were seniors, 10 were juniors, and 13 were sophomores.
Between the three 2014-15 Iowa Conference's All-Academic lists in the fall, winter, and spring, the Spartans honored 87 student-athletes. Spartan women's soccer led UD women's athletics with 12 total selections and Spartan football paced UD men's athletics with 11 honorees.
