Two Placewinners at NCAA Central Regional for Spartans

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque wrestling team found tough competition at the 2016 NCAA Division III Central Regional. Thirteen teams including four ranked teams competed on Sunday with 21 individuals being ranked among the Top-10 with nine being All-Americans in 2015.
The Spartans would finish with two placewinners in the regional and a ninth place finish with 34 points. At 133 lbs., UD's Stephen Rosenburg (above left) used a tech fall and a fall to finish 6th. Elton Turnage-Manuel (above right) lost a narrow victory for a third place finish at 174 lbs. and the automatic berth to the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championships by a slim 1-3 margin on a late match takedown.
