Hawkins Medalist at Loras Fall Invite

PEOSTA, Iowa - Lane Hawkins carded the low round of the afternoon on Thursday at the Loras College Fall Invite to claim medalist honors with a two over Par 73 at Thunder Hills Country Club. The Spartans tied for fifth overall with a team score of 334.
Nathanial Jackson shot an 81 (T-14th overall), Avery Brandt finished with an 88 (t-36th overall), Nicholas Kaufman had a 92 (41st overall), and Cameron Upmann finished with a 101 (43rd overall).
"I'm just really proud of the way Lane has played this season," commented head coach Dustin Bierman. "For him to go out and shoot a 40 on the front and to rally back to card a 33 on the back shows what kind of student-athlete he is. He's a hard worker at practice, sets a good example to our younger guys, and we look for him to continue to be our leader in and out of the classroom."
