Ortiz Finishes 13th Out of 528 to Pace Spartans

UW Oshkosh Women's Final Results

 

Oshkosh, Wis.- Women’s cross country finished 24th out of 36 teams Saturday in the UW-Oshkosh Kollege Town Sports Cross Country Invitational.

In one of the biggest regional meets of the year, the Spartans were paced by Fabiola Ortiz who ran a 22:22 and finished 13th overall for individuals. The 22:22 finish for Ortiz was her best time of the season. Some of her previous bests were 24:17 and 22:31. The next Spartan to finish was Kiersten Wenthold who finished with a 23:40.

The rest of the Dubuquer runners were Kayla Kinateder with a 24:28 and finished in 146th place, Megan Ely with a 24:47 and placed 163rd, Kristin Mackenburg ran a 25:45 coming in 199th, Melissa Todman ran the meet in 26:36 finishing in 216th, Jaclyn Roeder finished in 26:53 and 219th.  There were a total of 528 runners that participated in this meet on the women’s side.

Their next meet is the IIAC Championships in Storm Lake, Iowa on October 29th.
