Spartans Football Ranked #21 in AFCA Coaches Poll

WACO, Texas - The University of Dubuque football team entered week #1 of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches’ Poll at #21 for head coach Stan Zweifel.

The Spartans off to a 3-0 overall record and a 1-0 in Iowa Conference play. UD's last lost in conference action was to Central College on Nov. 15, 2014. The Spartans have been averaging 46.3 points and 517 yards a game this season. UD has scored 20 touchdowns with red zone scoring percentage of 76% (13-17) and hold a fourth down conversion of 56% (9-16).

Quarterback Conor Feckley ranks first in the country in NCAA Division III in points responsible for (98), third in passing yards with 1,183, ranks fourth in passing yards per game with 394.3, and fourth in total offensive yards with 409.3.

Wide receiver Najee Toomer ranks second in total receiving yards (457) in the nation and third with 152.3 receiving yards per game.
