Box Score

St. Paul, Minn.- On a cold and windy day in St. Paul, the University of Dubuque women's lacrosse team could not get their offense going and fell to Hamline University, 3-8.

After Hamline jumped out in front with an early goal by Lindsey Jackman 10 minutes into the game, both offenses struggled until Jessi Tapia put the Spartans on the board with seven minutes until halftime. Hamline went on to score the next six goals to put the game out of reach. UD mounted a little rally late in the second half with goals from Claire Carlson and Robyn Wittkopf to cut the deficit to 3-7, but they could not find the back of the net again.

UD goalie, Kyra Nelson, got her first start of the season, allowing eight goals but collecting five saves in the process. Hamline was able to bombard the Spartans with 22 shots in the game, while UD was only able to get off 11 shots.

The Spartans are back on the road on Wednesday, March 15th as they travel to Waverly, Iowa to take on Wartburg College at 4:00 p.m.
