UD Top-10: No. 6 – Basierak Cements UD Legacy as Four-Time All-IIAC Honoree

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Senior outside hitter, Klaudia Basierak, became the first four-time All-IIAC honoree in the history of University of Dubuque volleyball and left her mark as the all-time school leader in attacks and second all-time in kills.

The Hainseville, Ill. native and former Iowa Conference Freshman of the Year in 2012, finished off her career by leading the Spartans to their best record (17-18) since 2007 and ended up Top-10 nationally in both total kills and attacks in 2016. Basierak concluded her career Top-3 nationally in career attempts, attempts per set, and kills among active Division III players.

Arguably the greatest player in UD history, Basierak also got it done in the classroom as a three-time Academic All-Iowa Conference selection and two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.
