2016 UD Triangular Wrestling Meet Program
DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque wrestling team will be hosting a triangular meet on Saturday, Dec. 3 in McCormick Gymansium. Augustana College and MacMurray will face the Spartans in dual competition beginning at 1:00 p.m.
MacMurray brought back wrestling after dropping the sport in 2007. This year marks the first year of their return of men's and women's wrestling for the Highlanders coached by Pete DiPol.
Augustana graduated six starters from a year ago, so alot of new faces will be in the line-up for coach Eric Juergens.
Coach Jon McGovern returns a line-up with veteran experience for the Spartans while looking toward some new faces and transfers battling each week for a starting role. Competition during the week in the wrestling room will be plentiful as the Spartans look to be among the title contenders at the NCAA Central Regional at the end of February.
