Volleyball Prepares for NACC/IIAC Crossover Challenge

LISLE, Ill. - The University of Dubuque volleyball team (7-6 overall) will battle this weekend in the NACC/IIAC Crossover Challenge hosted at Benedictine University. The Spartans will look to carry momentum after taking a 3-0 victory over pre-season IIAC favorite in coaches poll Loras on Tuesdy night. Karrah Davis leads Spartans in kills with 175, 3.72 per set. Alyssa Cose has compiled 416 set assists and leads the Spartans with 21 service aces. Defensively everyone on the team has been hustling for the dig. Jenne Runde leads UD with 195 digs, trailed by Davis 141 digs, Grace Strawser has 137, and Johanna Steggall 122.
The Spartans will open play on Friday at 1:00 p.m. against the host Benedictine Eagles before capping off the day wth Aurora University at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, the Spartans will face Concordia-Chicago at noon and will finish with Wisconsin Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 each day
