Volleyball Sweeps Iowa Wesleyan 3-0

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa - The University of Dubuque volleyball team made quick work of Iowa Wesleyan on Tuesday night after taking the match in three sets by scores of 25-16,25-19,25-19.

The Spartans ended the evening hitting .257 as a team and were led in kills by Anna Grace who finished with a match high 11. Setter Alyssa Cose spread the ball around and finished with 32 set assists. Jenna Runde led the defensive effort with 10 of the team's 42 digs. Karrah Davis would serve up three aces in 16 serving attempts.

The Spartans hit .207 in set one, improved to .225 in set two, and capped off the night by hitting .344 in set three.

UD will enjoy a break from competition until next Tuesday's home match against Augustana College in Stoltz Sports Center on Oct. 18 with varsity action starting at 7:30 p.m.
