Women's Soccer Lose in Overtime

KENOSHA, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's soccer team used a strong defensive effort for 90 solid minutes on Friday night to end regulation tied 0-0. The host Carthage College Lady Reds stopped the clock quickly in overtime when they scored the winning overtime goal at 93:50.

Carthage held a 15-6 advantage in shots and a 9-0 edge in corner kick opportunities throughout regulation. Megan Moll was kept busy as she stopped nine shots on goal of the Lady Reds 16 total shots.

Shelby Nicholson led UD's offensive threats with two shots. Alexa Martin, Kyleigh McLaughlin, Lexus Rose, and Harleigh Lewis all added in a shot in the loss. Rose and teammate Lewis would each have a shot on goal.

The Spartans host Marian University on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1:00 p.m. on Oyen Field.
