Wrestling Captures Dual Meet Victory Over Storm

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque earned a hard fought IIAC dual meet victory on Saturday over the Simpson College Storm 29-19. The dual meet orginally scheduled for Jan. 10 capped off a busy Spartans day. Earlier in Stoltz Sports Center, UD hosted women's and men's basketball versus Buena Vista University and came away with the sweep. Wrestling capped off the perfect home day with the third victory on campus.

 

The Spartans jumped out to an early 10-0 lead before the Spartans Nicholas Meyer (149 lbs.) would earn the first fall of the night with time running out in the match at 6:56. Ethan Cain (184 lbs.) would get the Spartans other fall in 3:30.

 

The Spartans will host the Loras College Duhawks on Friday, Feb. 3 in Stoltz Sports Center at 7:00 p.m.
