Spartans Travel to Iowa Conference Championships

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque track and field team heads to the Iowa Conference Championships this weekend in Pella, Iowa, hosted by Central College.The IIAC Indoor Championships takes place on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24th in Central College’s H.S Kuyper Fieldhouse. The UD men’s team will look to defend their 2017 IIAC Indoor Championship.

Spartans in the Rankings
In the most recent USTFCCCA Rankings released on February 20th, The University of Dubuque men’s team is ranked first in the Central Region and 13th in NCAA Division III. The UD women’s team comes in ranked fourth in the USTFCCCA Central Regional rankings and 72nd in the nation.
IIAC Leaders
UD has six athletes with the best mark in the Iowa Conference in eight different events, according to TFRRS.com

-Colfay Pointer: 400m
-Alec Bass: 5000m
-Blaze Barista: Triple Jump
-Blaze Murfin: Shot Put and Weight Throw
