Women's Tennis Drop Two Road Matches

PELLA/URBANDALE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team battled through lightning delays and tough road competition on Saturday and lost to the Central Dutch 1-8 and to the Simpson Storm 4-5. At #3 singles, Madeline Parker def. Central's Laurynn Mize in a tie break 1-6, 7-5, 10-6 for the lone victory over the Dutch.
Against Simpson the Spartans grabbed the early lead after capturing #2 and #3 doubles both by 8-6 scores. Simpson rallied to win #1, #2, #5 and #5 singles to capture the tightly contested contest.
UD will travel across town to play the Loras College Duhawks on Oct. 3 at 3:30 p.m.
