Spartans Lose to Trine

Judy Borah: 2-goals and 2-assists.

DUBUQUE, IOWA - The University of Dubuque Women's Lacrosse team lost, 20-4, to Trine University on Monday afternoon at the Rock Bowl. The Spartans scored three straight goals in the first half as they trailed 11-3 at the half. Judy Borah (Mammoth Lakes, Calif./Palisades Charter) had a hand in all four goals with two goals and two assists. Dubuque is now 0-10 overall. 

Bridget Schirmers (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) scored the first two goals on the game for UD. Schirmers has now scored nine goals in eight games played. The two goals by Borah give her 18 on the season and goals in five straight games. Borah had a team high eight shots.

Kalee Roth (Dubuque, Iowa/East Dubuque) forced a team high three turnovers. Dionna Atwood (Melrose Park, Ill./Jones College Prep) had 12 saves in goal with 20 goals allowed. 

UP NEXT: The Spartans will play at Loras on Thursday, April 25th at 7:00 pm. Earlier this season the Duhawks defeated UD 10-7 in a match-up of the only Division III programs in Iowa.
