Undergraduate Majors and Minors
No matter what your major, you’ll engage in hands-on learning. The faculty within academic departments are seasoned professionals with real-life work experiences to share with you in the classroom. Our Center for Advising and Vocation staff are dedicated to helping you explore options, hone in on career choices, and search for professional positions. You’ll learn how to work independently, as well as in teams. You’ll engage in field projects or take a professional internship to bolster your real-world exposure. With a low student to faculty ratio of 15:1, your professors will provide personal attention, guidance, and mentoring all along the way.

Over the last five decades, the University has developed high-quality master’s degree programs that feature an applied orientation designed to prepare you as a leader in your field, identified for career advancement. The University of Dubuque currently offers multiple degree programs:
Master of Arts in Communication (MAC)
The Master of Arts in Communication prepares you to generate communication solutions to global business challenges. It is anchored in a 21st century understanding of the practical theory of organizational communication applied to management concerns for public, interpersonal, global, and mediated communication.
Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (MACL)
The Master of Arts in Christian Leadership is a 30 credit, completely-online degree that strengthens Christians for service in their chosen vocation. The degree will nurture biblically and theologically informed, culturally sensitive leaders for the church and world. The program requires six credits in Christian Scriptures, six credits in the history of Christianity/Christian Doctrine, three credits in Christian mission, six credits in Christian leadership, and nine credits of electives. You will learn from experienced online teachers who are devout Christians and passionate about preparing you for Christian service.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The Master of Business Administration prepares you to extend your undergraduate educational background by offering a set of practical, applied, integrated learning experiences that develops attitudes, ethical behavior, and a portfolio of tools required to effectively function at a management level in today’s global business environment.
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
The Master of Physician Assistant Studies program is designed to prepare students in becoming primary care physician assistants oriented toward service to rural and underserved populations. The program is a year-round 27-month program with 15-months of academic education and 12-months of clinical rotations. The first cohort of students will graduate in December 2018 and be prepared to sit for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). Upon completion of the program and passing of the exam graduates will be ready to embark on clinical practice.
Accelerated Adult Degree – LIFE – Learning Institute for Fulfillment and Engagement
The programs of the Learning Institute for Fulfillment and Engagement are specifically designed for adult learners who are at least age 23 years of age and who have three or more years of work experience. LIFE's accelerated, evening bachelor's and master’s degree programs and services - available during the hours you need them -- help you balance your studies, your career, and your family life. Our flexible format allows you to begin classes when you choose.

Army ROTC produces officers -- 75% of all Army officers. Founded in 1916, Army ROTC has produced more than one-half million lieutenants for the U. S. Army.
