2023 Solar Energy Panel Discussion

Three scientists - including two University of Dubuque faculty members - will discuss the future of solar energy in Iowa at a forum organized by Iowa Rep. Chuck Isenhart, D-Dubuque, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Room 105 of the University Science Center on campus. The event is free and open to the public.
The panel will include Adam Hoffman, a professor of environmental chemistry at UD, and Dale Easley, a professor of geology at UD. They will be joined by John Zakrasek, of Linn County, who will represent the Clean Energy Districts of Iowa. Additionally, David Osterberg, a clinical professor of occupational and environmental health at the University of Iowa, will elaborate on the 2023 "Iowa Climate Statement," tendered in October by 200 science faculty members from 36 colleges and universities across Iowa.
Isenhart, a member of the Economic Growth and Agriculture Committees in the House of Representatives, will moderate and discuss the current status of solar energy initiatives in Iowa.
