Marcus DeJesus Recital

Marcus DeJesus will present his first-ever recital program exclusively featuring Brazilian composers on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m., in Blades Chapel.

From the virtuosic charm of Choro to the soulful melodies of Bossa Nova, this program highlights the depth and beauty of Brazilian guitar music. The repertoire includes works by Dilermando Reis, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Egberto Gismonti, Yamandu Costa, Ulisses Rocha, and more, showcasing Brazil's rich musical tradition through some of its most iconic and innovative voices.

The recital will highlight the depth and beauty of Brazilian guitar music. Whether you're a longtime lover of Brazilian music or discovering it for the first time, this program offers a heartfelt tribute to the composers who have shaped DeJesus's musical path.
