University of Dubuque Concert Choir and Chamber Singers to Perform in Kansas City Area

Fresh off their hometown performance in Dubuque, Iowa, 25 members of the University of Dubuque Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will perform "In Meeting We Are Blessed" in the Kansas City area this month. The schedule is as follows:
Monday, April 28, 2025
- 3:00 p.m. - Cedar Lake Village, 15325 S. Lone Elm Road, Olathe, Kansas
- 7:00 p.m. - Village Presbyterian Church on Antioch, 14895 Antioch Road, Overland Park, Kansas
Tuesday, April 29, 2025
- 7:00 p.m. - Southminster Presbyterian Church, 6306 Roe Avenue, Prairie Village, Kansas
Performances are free and open to the public.
"In Meeting We Are Blessed" will highlight the music of friends and friendships as the ensembles present a variety of music styles - including classical, folk, and pop - by composers Orlando Gibbons, Morten Lauridsen, Elaine Hagenberg, and others.
The spring concert will be under the direction of Kristen Eby, MM, head of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts, director of choral activities, and assistant professor of music at UD. "In Meeting We Are Blessed" will be accompanied by Jill Klinebriel, an adjunct instructor at UD.
Touring has been a valued tradition at the University of Dubuque. In recent decades, the UD Concert Choir has performed in 38 states and embarked on trips to Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and Canada.
