Homecoming 2018
Thank you for joining us for the 2017 Thirteeners Fraternity Reunion! It was great to have the opportunity to visit, reminisce, and celebrate. Six years ago, in 2011, we started our tradition of meeting every two years. Since then we have had many memorable ocassions, and we look forward to our next reunion!
Below are a few Homecoming 2018 events that you won't want to miss.
Sergeant Jeffrey B. Dodge Veterans Center Open House and Scholarship Presentation*
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Blades Hall (garden level)
Dedicated in 2015, the Sergeant Jeffrey B. Dodge Veterans Center is committed to providing support services for veterans studying on campus. This year, we will recognize the 50th class Reunion year of Jeffrey B. Dodge and Ronald R. Sagers. Visit with the 2018 Veterans Award for Distinguished Service Honorees, Harry “Bucky”Peterson (C’68) and the family of Paul Middents (C’61). At 2:00 p.m., the program will begin with an update from Rick Ernst, director of the Sergeant Jeffrey B. Dodge Veterans Center, followed by the Sergeant Jeffrey B. Dodge Scholarship presentation to the 2018 recipient, Brenna Forsberg.
An Evening with LonestarAlumni Reunion Celebration - Recognizing the Class of 1968*

The class of 1968 invites their UD Family – All SPARTANS – to join them as they celebrate their 50th Class Reunion! This is a great opportunity to visit, reminisce, and celebrate with fellow spartans. Dinner catered by L.May Eatery

Spartan Fest! - University Tailgate*

It’s a spartan Festival! Ramp up your Spartan Spirit before the football game and visit with classmates, friends, and the UD community. Bring the whole family for a fun afternoon – enjoy music, inflatable games, and other tailgate activities. Get game day ready and stop by the face painting and tattoo station!
Spartan Football Game vs. Nebraska Wesleyan*

Show your Spartan Spirit and wear your favorite Spartan Blue attire for an exciting football game as our Spartans take on the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves. During halftime, join us in congratulating the 2018 Alumni/ae Award recipients. Prior to the game, we will recognize Harry “Bucky” Peterson (C’68) and Brenna Forsberg as they participate in the flag raising ceremony
Spartan Nation Reunion*

Spartan Fest continues immediately following the football game for an all alumni reunion! Join us under the“Big Tent”as we gather with fellow spartans for a great Homecoming celebration at Old Chicago. This is the perfect opportunity to mingle with alums while enjoying refreshing beverages and tasty food at one of our favorite spots. Dinner included, Cash bar will be available.
NEW THIS YEAR: Local artist, Tanner Scheckel, and his band will provide entertainment all night. Music ranging from oldies to current pop, 90s to country. Make plans to catch up with friends or dance the night away; you won’t want to miss this!
