Sep 20, 2014

RIPON, Wis. – The University of Dubuque volleyball team posts a 3-1 record for the second straight tournament as they complete a successful weekend at the Ripon College Red Hawk Invitational.

The Spartans (7-11) breezed through day one over UW-Superior and Ripon as they dropped just one set. Day two made them earn their way as they split a pair of five-setters between UW-River Falls and the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Klaudia Basierak had herself a weekend and was named to the All-Tournament team after compiling 66 digs and 46 kills in four total matches. She continued to be a work-horse after tallying 194 attack attempts as well. Basierak’s 3,786 career attack attempts rank her fourth all-time in UD history and not far behind third-place Greta Pemsl (4,275).
