Hernandez Wins #4 Singles Against Kohawks

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team entered Tuesday's match with a tough opponent looming in league play. The #36-ranked Coe College Kohawks (16-4 overall, 5-0 in IIAC) made the short drive to Dubuque and quick work of the Spartans, taking the match 8-1. UD's Ranfer Hernandez playing #4 singles def. Matt Moore 2-6, 6-1, 12-10 for the lone Spartan victory. He improved to 11-6 overall in singles play.
UD despite the loss, displayed moments and strokes showing how well they can play against top-ranked competition. The Spartans failed to score a point in just one singles match and one doubles match.
