Men's Tennis Drops a Pair in Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team fell to host UW-Eau Claire, 7-0, and MSOE, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans (2-6) gave up two matches to both UW-Eau Claire and MSOE after suiting up five players. It was tough sledding for UD after scoring a total of eight games in seven matches against a UW-Eau Claire (9-1) that has won five straight and nine of its 10 matches this season.

Matthew Sablay (3-5), Ranfer Hernandez (4-4), and Zebulon Hill (3-5) won individual spots two through four, respectively, against Milwaukee School of Engineering (2-8).

The Spartans head to Buena Vista for their first Iowa Conference match of the season where they will face the host and non-conference foe, Augustana College (S.D.), this Saturday, March 5 at 9:00 a.m.
