Norris Selected to NABC All-Star Game and Named Top-25 Finalist for Bevo Francis Award

Senior forward Andre Norris was named a Top-25 finalist for the Bevo Francis award and was one of 18 seniors selected to NABC Reese's Division III All-Star game.

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Senior forward Andre Norris will play with and against the very best Division III has to offer in the NABC Reese’s Division III College All-Star Game on March 19 and was recently named a Top-25 finalist for the Bevo Francis Award for the top small college player in the country.

Norris is one of 18 seniors chosen throughout the country (Two each from one of eight regions and two individuals through D3hoops.com online voting) that will play the All-Star game in Salem, Va. this Saturday, March 18 at 2:30 p.m., shortly before the Division III Men's National Championship game.

Norris, recently named D3hoops.com West Region Player of the Year, will represent the East All-Stars coached by legendary coach Dick Reynolds. Reynolds, who coached 40 years at Colby College (Maine) and is recently retired, is Top-10 in Division III history with 639 career victories.

Norris was also named as a top-25 finalist for the Bevo Francis award, given to the top small college player. Players eligible for this award compete in NCAA Division II/III, NAIA Division I, USCAA Division I/II, and NCCAA Division I/II. UD’s all-time leading scorer is one of 18 seniors on the list.

The Plainfield, Ill. native averaged 23.6 points and 12.0 rebounds per game while leading the country in defensive rebounds per game with 11.12. Norris, the Iowa Conference’s back-to-back MVP, led the Spartans to their first Iowa Conference regular season title since 1990 while leading the league in scoring and rebounding.
