Record Night for Norris in Spartans 132-121 Victory

LINCOLN, Neb. - The University of Dubuque scored 132 points in Saturday's victory over Greenville College (132-121), but the night belonged to Andre Norris who broke the Snyder Classic records for points in a game (36) and also in rebounds in a game with 19.

Norris missed just two shots from the field (16-18) to help the Spartans offense end the night sinking 50-70 shots from the field for 62.5%. UD sank three of 10 three point attempts and journeyed to the free throw line a season high 39 times and sank 29-39 attempts (74.4%). 

The fast running style of Greenville forced the Spartans into committing 22 turnovers and they capitalized on them scoring 45 points. UD responded by taking the ball inside and driving the lane for 86 points in the paint. UD beat Greenville at their own game by scoring 44 points off fast breaks while holding Greenville to just 20 points. Greenville's bench outscored their starters 64-57.

Jacob Mohlis sank 8-9 free throw attempts to finish with 23 points and five assists. Jake Weber came off the bench to score 18 points and finished with 12 rebounds, Kain Arthofer added 16 points, Deonte Newsome finished with 15 points in his first start of the season, and Mitchell Morrisey was 7-8 from the field to have 14 points in just 18 minutes of play.

The Spartans are 3-2 overall and return to action on December 2 when they travel across town to play the Clarke University Crusaders at 7:30 p.m.
