DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's soccer defender and senior Kim Trinco, was named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III All-North Region Second Team selection.

Trinco, already named an All-IIAC First team selection, won the award for the first time in her career after starting all 19 games on the Spartan defensive backline. The Schaumburg, Ill. native distributed her fourth career assist in season-opening win over Carthage on September 1 in a successful non-conference slate that featured four shut outs in their first five games. A 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree as well, the senior started 72 of 75 games throughout her career.

Head Coach Jason Berna says, "Kim has been so solid for four straight years and also had a great senior year for our program. She not only consistently shut players down all year but was so impactful coming forward out of the back starting the attack."

Trinco is the fifth Spartan since 2010 to be named All-Region and ties three others for the highest selection (Second Team) in school history.
